Today we received a grant from the Arbor Memorial Foundation for $1,500. Arbor Memorial is the parent organization for Castle Funeral Homes. We needed to share an awesome moment with all of you. The Greater Saint John Community Foundation has awarded the Play Park Project with a grant for $20,000. So, this is unapologetically a shout out to our Grand Bay-Westfield Sobeys. The staff of our local Sobeys are amazing. For the past year, they have volunteered their time to come and serve a hot lunch to school children at our church. (Both at Christmas and Easter). They approached us and volunteered! We need to extend a huge shout out to the board of Crane Mountain and the Fundy Regional Service Commission for yet another grant for $10,000 toward the play park project. This funding is being used to purchase the chairs and tables for the refreshment area, as well as fun play objects for the play space. Stay tuned for photos when this fun stuff arrives at the end of the summer. Thank you so much Crane Mountain for giving back to the community!
